Should you get a flu shot?

Before you do, you need to ask yourself several questions: 1) What is in a flu shot? 2) How do they work? 3) Are they effective? and 4) Are they safe? Answers to the first two questions can be found at http://www.909shot.com/Diseases/influenzafacts.htm. The answers to 3 and 4 are not really. You need to do the research and make the best decision for yourself and your family. The bottom line is - Do the risks associated with getting the shot (ie Guillain Barre Syndrome, increased Alzheimers risks etc) outweigh the benefit of possibly not getting the flu.

Personally, I believe in this and other health related matters that we would be far better served by actively pursuing health (eating right, supplementing, exercising, taking care of our spine and nervous system etc) rather than just doing things to avoid being sick.

Would you rather survive or thrive?

Here is a link to a great article on Dr. Mercola's website (a fantastic natural health resource) regarding the benefit of vitamin D supplementation during flu season. http://v.mercola.com/blogs/public_blog/avoid-flu-shots----vitamin-d-is-a-better-way-70873.aspx
